( The Awakening Series – part 3)
Last week, I watched a woman at the grocery store quietly hand her cart to a young mom juggling two kids and a crying baby. No words, no fuss, just a small act of kindness that shifted the air around them. The young mom looked up, surprised, and for a moment a brief, holy moment both women smiled.
That’s what light looks like.
It’s not loud. It’s not complicated. It’s not waiting for perfect timing.
It’s the steady, everyday choice to bring a little more love into a world that’s forgotten what it feels like.
Quiet Faith in a Skeptical World
Faith doesn’t always look like what people expect. It’s not about being perfect, performing, or proving you’re right.
True faith is quiet, consistent, and deeply rooted the kind that doesn’t have to announce itself to be real.
But in a world that thrives on noise and spectacle, that kind of faith can seem invisible.
We live among cynics who roll their eyes at hope, skeptics who equate belief with weakness. And still, the call remains the same: Be the light.
The good news?
Light doesn’t have to outshine the darkness. It just has to show up.
Faith That Moves
Faith isn’t meant to be theory, it’s meant to be lived.
You can tell people about God, but they’ll believe you more when they see Him in you.
It’s the teacher who prays for her students before class.
The husband who extends grace instead of anger.
The nurse who whispers a prayer before a shift.
The friend who keeps showing up when everyone else disappears.
That’s what it means to live light in the dark faith that quietly moves, comforts, and restores without ever needing applause.
Your kindness may never make the headlines, but heaven notices.
The Power of Compassion
In a world where outrage sells, compassion stands out like a candle in a storm.
It’s easy to react. It’s harder to respond with love.
But that’s exactly what Jesus did, over and over again.
He sat with the lonely, touched the sick, defended the unseen.
His light wasn’t a spotlight; it was presence tender, truthful, and available.
When we choose compassion instead of criticism, patience instead of pride, we reflect Him.
That’s faith in action.
That’s love alive.
Consistency Over Perfection
The world doesn’t need more perfect Christians. It needs real ones.
Ones who admit when they fall short, but keep getting back up.
Ones who forgive even when it hurts.
Ones who live their faith on the porch, in the office, at the kitchen sink not just on Sundays.
Light flickers sometimes. Yours will too.
But what matters most is that it doesn’t go out.
Every small act of faith adds to the collective glow that pushes back the dark.
Carrying Light in Ordinary Days
The places you shine the most are often the ones no one sees.
It’s in the quiet prayer before your feet hit the floor.
The gentle word when tension rises.
The text you send because someone crossed your mind.
That’s light not grand, but grounded.
You don’t need to preach it. You just need to live it.
And here’s the thing: the people around you notice, even if they don’t say it.
Your steadiness plants seeds of hope in weary soil.
Your kindness reminds others that goodness is still alive.
Hope for a Weary World
It’s tempting to think the world is too far gone, too dark to change.
But light has never been intimidated by darkness.
It doesn’t need permission to shine. It simply does.
Every time you love when it’s inconvenient, forgive when it’s undeserved, or show mercy instead of judgment, you are declaring that hope still has a place here.
That’s living faith.
That’s living light.
A Call to Action
So this week, be the light.
Let your faith show up in the way you listen, serve, and love.
No fanfare. No spotlight. Just quiet, steady presence.
Because when your life glows with grace, it helps someone else find their way out of the dark.
And that’s the kind of awakening the world still needs.

Veronica Drake
Intuitive Business Coach
Hi, I’m Veronica Drake—but you can call me Vee.
I’m an Intuitive Mentor and founder of The School of Spiritual Arts, where I guide women (mostly over 50) to break free from the stories they’ve been handed and reconnect with who they truly are.
My work is spiritual, practical, and a little bit sassy. I’m not here to fix you—because you’re not broken. I’m here to help you remember your wisdom, trust your intuition, and live from your sacred truth.
When one woman owns her truth, it creates a ripple—and that’s how we begin to shift the world.
Fun facts? I’m obsessed with coffee, true crime, and I once worked on a real-life murder case. (Yep. Ask me about it sometime.)
